Version 2.400 (March 2004)
New Features
H2S Release Rates can now be calculated anywhere a gas flow rate is computed (Wellbore, Gas AOF/TPC, Oil IPR/TPC, and Pipe analyses) with values reported in Alberta EUB standard units.
A user-modifiable liquid lift velocity calculation has been incorporated. Users can override the standard Turner correlation by modifying liquid density and surface tension via weighting factors.
Parametric gas reservoir model now incorporates pseudo-skin factor calculations to account for non-idealities such as partial penetration of the producing formation, non-orthogonal angle of entry into the producing formation, and horizontal wells.
Wellbore analysis input table is now unlimited (previously limited to 10 rows).
Wellbore analysis now permits local override of wellhead and sandface temperatures.
Gas Reservoir, Gas AOF/TPC, and SF/WH AOF analyses can now readily exchange AOF parameters with one another.
SF/WH AOF analysis now calculates/plots up to 4 wellhead deliverability curves for a given sandface deliverability curve.
Annular flow is now accommodated in the Liquid Lift analysis. Click the "T" button in any row to display the input form for that row.
Known Issues/Fixes
Plot customization interface has been significantly improved. Click any plot element in the left pane to display/change its properties on the right-hand side of the window.
Plot exporting as Windows metafile to file has been fixed.
Minor performance improvements, functionality enhancements, and user interface improvements have also been incorporated.
Print Preview may not display information in grids accurately to scale on-screen but will display once printed to hard-copy.
Documentation on how to create a new report template or on how to customize the appearance of existing reports is available upon request.
Version 2.209 (May 2003)
New Features
Added parameters for modifying gas reservoir AOF predictions to account for formation penetration angle, partial penetration or fractional completion, and horizontal wells.
Can now display Rawlins-Schellhardt parameters (C, n) calculated for time-dependent deliverability curves generated by the reservoir model.
Known Issues/Fixes
Corrected calculation/display of simultaneous multi-path (Flow Path = BOTH) solutions.
Cut-and-paste into a grid no longer causes aberrant grid resizing.
Case Description handling improved (can now be multi-line, lines no longer concatenated upon entry or in printouts).
Numerous other minor interface/performance improvements.
Export Plot : Metafile --> File option does not work properly. Exporting to the Clipboard does, however, so you can export the plot as a metafile to the Clipboard, paste it into MS Paint, and save it to a file from there. Will be rectified ASAP.
Version 2.203 (February 2003)
New Features
AWS/Static Gradient analysis now permits evaluation of shut-in bottom hole pressures, wellbore liquid level, and effects of temperature and static fluid pressure gradients.
Link to F.A.S.T. PVTplus™ enables comparison with and matching to fluid physical properties and transport properties predicted by the available correlations.
Fluid properties and correlation adjustment factors from F.A.S.T. PVTplus™ can be imported into VirtuWell.
Case Comparator tool permits side-by-side comparison of inputs and results from any two cases in a file for parametric sensitivity studies and investigation of "what if" scenarios.
Liquid lift potential (Turner velocity criterion) can now be assessed at each point of wellbore configuration change from wellhead to perfs or bottom of tubing (whichever is lower).
Pipe roughness (for Fanning type) or flow efficiency (for Panhandle type) is now displayed, dependent on the pressure loss correlation selected. User-modifiable.
Panhandle flow efficiencies default to the Fekete-suggested optimum value for the correlation selected.
User-added annotations are now supported on all plots.
Known Issues/Fixes
Numerous minor performance improvements and functionality enhancements have been included.
Print Preview may not display information in grids accurately to scale on-screen. However, hard-copy printouts will usually be fine.
Documentation on how to create a new report template or to customize the appearance of existing reports is available upon request.
