Quality Assurance Software Tester

Job Description

  • Develop and conduct rigorous systematic testing on software functionality.
  • Identify and diagnose software problems.
  • Develop a rapport with the application programmers and technical advisors to understand the software structure and critical elements.
  • Extensive technical training will be provided in the underlying reservoir engineering principles so that you will be able to understand and validate the answers coming out of the software.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Solid understanding of MS OS, and GUI applications interface are required.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and reporting skills are required.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, strong team player capable of working in and contributing effectively to the team environment is a must.

Junior/Intermediate Reservoir Engineer

Job Description:

  • Involved in multiple projects, both in Canada and Internationally.
  • Conventional and unconventional gas field development.
  • Primary oil depletion, waterfloods, acid gas injection, and CO2 sequestration.
  • Numerical simulation and reserves evaluation in a wide range of reservoir engineering projects.
  • Report to the Manager of Reservoir Engineering

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 0 – 3 years Oil & Gas industry experience, including new graduates.
  • Minimum Bachelors degree in engineering (petroleum or related).
  • High degree of self-motivation and exceptional analytical skills.
  • Capable of working in and contributing effectively to a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills are required.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Reservoir simulation experience would be an asset.

Reservoir Engineer

Job Description:

  • Reservoir engineering of a wide range of projects including conventional and tight gas, primary oil depletion, waterfloods, acid gas injection.
  • Analytical determination of volumes-in-place and reservoir parameters.
  • Construction of dynamic reservoir model.
  • Numerical simulation including history matching and production forecast scenarios.
  • Participation on research projects into shale gas, CO2 sequestration and gas hydrates.
  • Work on multiple projects in Canada and Internationally
  • Accountable for ensuring the engineering work is value oriented for our clients, completed effectively and efficiently for integration with other disciplines, and is technically excellent.
  • Conferencing with clients to define project objects, timeline and resources and to present interim and final results.
  • Supervision of 1 – 3 engineering staff.
  • Report to Manager of Reservoir Engineering.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering
  • Registration with, or qualifications for registration with, APEGGA
  • 5+ years experience in reservoir engineering including one or more years of reservoir simulation experience.

  • Time management skills – ability to handle up to 5 concurrent projects.
  • Excellent computer skills including working knowledge and/or proficient user of Eclipse and/or CMG simulators.

Junior Well Test Analyst

  • Pressure transient analysis of well tests conducted on gas/oil/water wells.
  • Provide comprehensive reports of well test analysis to clients.
  • Submit well test reports to regulatory bodies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or Diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology.
  • Up to 5 years of pressure transient analysis experience with a clear understanding of theory as well as practical knowledge.
  • Good knowledge of completion techniques, production testing and wireline operations is an asset.

Senior Technical Advisor (Well Test Analysis)

Job Description:

  • Act as a team lead in the Well Test department and work closely with the Well Test Manager.
  • Initiate client meetings to discuss analyses, test designs as well as technical issues.
  • Review the final reports submitted by other well test team members to ensure that Fekete standards and quality are maintained.
  • Mentor junior well test analysts.
  • Analysis of high profile and confidential wells.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 10 to 15 years of pressure transient analysis experience with a clear understanding of theory as well as practical knowledge.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or Diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology.  A specialization in Well Testing would be an asset.

Technical Sales Representative

  • Drill-down into existing clients (large companies holding one or two software licenses).
  • Cold calls and existing client follow-up calls.
  • Software lease renewals with up sell.
  • Creation of new sales projects for the product you represent (by Geographic area, etc.).  This includes deciding the best means to approach the target and what sales/marketing support is needed.
  • Put together offers and close deals.
  • Successfully achieve monthly and yearly targets.
